After the first notice went unanswered, Nepal Police has issued a second notice demanding the appearance with an explanation of 26 individuals holding various positions in Nepal Police within seven days. They have not appeared for work and have not communicated with the police for two to three months.
According to DIG Kuber Kadayat, the Spokesperson for Nepal Police, “The reasons for this issue may include the pursuit of better job opportunities and the trend of moving abroad. However, Nepal Police has requested a reasonable explanation for this from the missing personnel. This situation is deemed alarming as it not only results in the forfeiture of the considerable training and opportunities invested in these individuals but also leads to a depletion of staff within the Nepal Police force.”
