Tilicho Lake, at 4919 meters in Manang district, now boasts internet connectivity, a move aimed at aiding visiting tourists.

Cholpa Gurung, ward chair of Manang Dinsang Rural Municipality-9, noted its critical role during emergencies like altitude sickness.

This service aims to curb incidents of missing people and health crises, allowing visitors to stay connected with their families.

A hotel entrepreneur Karma Dendu Gurung highlighted its role in serving tourists’ needs. The Annapurna Circuit, spanning five districts, sees a daily influx of 200+ foreign tourists, according to Bhupendra Gurung, chief of the local tourist center. Visitor numbers are expected to surge during the upcoming season.

A temporary health post, in collaboration with the rural municipality and ACAP Area Office, is also now in operation in Tilicho Lake and Thorangla Bhanjyang. ACAP provides vital health information to ensure a safe journey.
