A house collapse in Manang claimed the life of one person, injured another, and seven were rescued safely.

Chief District Officer Subash Kumar Lamichhane confirmed stating that the deceased person, Bir Bahadur Ghale, was covered by mud while repairing the house of Kancha Gurung in Manang Village, Neshyang Rural Municipality-4.

Of the nine workers involved in the renovation, seven were safely rescued, with one sustaining minor injuries.

The collapse occurred as the house, which served as the kitchen of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, faced leakage issues following recent heavy snowfall.

Rescue operations, involving Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, and other security personnel, extricated the workers buried under the mud.
