Gajendra Bishwakarma (62), a gold and silver trader, was shot by an unidentified group around 7 PM on Saturday near Kukurmara in Bardaghat Municipality-16.
The incident occurred as Bishwakarma was returning home after closing his shop in Susta Rural Municipality-1, Baruwa.
Wounded in the arm, he is receiving treatment at the Universal College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital in Bhairahawa and has been referred to Kathmandu at the request of his family.
His condition is now normal.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Resham Bohra stated that the search for the shooter is underway, and Bishwakarma’s scooter was discovered four kilometers from the crime scene in Ward No-14 today morning.
