The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted five construction and supplying companies for stalling and abandoning their contracted projects without completion.
Issuing a notice on Monday, the PPMO informed that the companies have been blacklisted as per the Public Procurement Act, 2007.
The blacklisted companies are Engineers Construction and Mint Craft Pvt Ltd, Jaya Gadhimai Construction Pvt Ltd, Guna Construction Sewa and Kalpana Construction Pvt Ltd.
Engineers Construction and Mine Craft Pvt Ltd of Bharatpur-4 Chitwan has been blacklisted for a year for stalling the construction of a project in Ichakama Rural Municipality of Chitwan. Jaya Gadhimai Construction Pvt Ltd has also been blacklisted for a year on the basis of a complaint filed by Khairahani Municipality of Chitwan.
Mudbhari and Joshi has been blacklisted for two years for stranding the construction belonging to the Rasuwagadhi hydropower company.
Meanwhile, Guna Nirman Sewa has been blacklisted for one year after a complaint was filed from Barbardiya Municipality for abandoning a construction project of Durgalaxmi Multiple Campus in Kailali, while Kalpana Construction Pvt Ltd has been blacklisted for a year on the recommendation of Barbardiya Municipality.
