The final hearing in the case against cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane has been delayed due to the absence of lawyers, who were attending the Nepal Bar Association conference in Chitwan.
Lamichhane’s lawyer, Saroj Krishna Ghimire, cited the unavailability of Shambhu Thapa and other legal practitioners as the reason for the postponement.
Previously, on November 9, Judge Keshab Prasad Ghimire of Kathmandu District Court had requested a ‘note of argument’ from both parties.
The scheduled hearing on Sunday aimed to address the issues raised in the notes before the judge could potentially announce a judgment or appoint another judge for the final decision.
