The death toll in a bus accident that occurred at Gajuri Rural Municipality-5 in Dhading district this morning has reached 7.

The bus, en route to Kathmandu from Kapilvastu, lost control and plunged into the Trishuli River at Ghatbesi along the Prithvi Highway this morning.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Gautam KC from the Dhading District Police Office, at least 30 passengers sustained injuries in the incident. Following initial aid at a local health facility, the injured were transported to Kathmandu for further medical treatment.

The bus driver, Hariram Harijan (38), has been taken into custody. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.
