The demise of two teenagers in a tipper-hit incident has sparked demonstrations by the relatives of the deceased in Dang. The incident occurred Friday night at Jharbaira Chowk in Narayanpur along the Ghorahi-Tulsipur road section. Bishal GC (17), from Jhimruk Rural Municipality and Sagar KC (18) from Naubahini Rural Municipality lost their lives when a tipper collided with their motorcycle.

Relatives and locals took to the streets on Sunday morning, obstructing the road in protest. The police detained some relatives of the deceased, including Pramod Pokhrel, vice chairman of Jhimruk Rural Municipality in Pyuthan, Man Bahadur KC, ward chairman of Naubahini Rural Municipality-6, and Rajesh GC, a relative of the deceased youths.

The families announced a shutdown in Dang on Sunday, demanding proper compensation and action against the tipper driver.

Negotiations between tipper businessmen and the aggrieved parties took place on Saturday but was unsuccessful, prompting a warning of a road blockade on the Ghorahi-Tulsipur section.
