After a jeep plunged into the Sunkoshi River, three people have gone missing since Friday morning. According to the police, the three missing people are the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) officials.
The Scorpio jeep, traveling from Kathmandu to Khotang with four people onboard, skidded off the road and fell into the river which is around 150 meters deep.
While the jeep’s driver Krishna Chaudhary managed to escape by jumping off the vehicle, other three couldn’t escape from the jeep.
The missing persons have been identified as CTEVT Directors Krishna Bahadur KC and Yam Prasad Bhurtel. Similarly, another passenger in the ill-fated vehicle was electrical officer Bhanu Paudel.
According to the police, driver Chaudhary is undergoing treatment at Shubha Jeewan Hospital in Khurkot and search for the missing is underway.
