The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) under the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers has issued notices to nine construction companies, including Pushpanjali Construction and Suppliers and New Bheri Engineering Workshop Surkhet, demanding explanations on why they should not be blacklisted, following the recommendation of various government bodies

Similarly, the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has proposed the blacklisting of Aravali Infrapower India, with the company given a seven-day deadline to provide an explanation.

Other companies facing potential blacklisting include Pranish International Pvt Ltd and Koshi Nirman Sewa, recommended by Nepal Police Headquarters and Sunkoshi Rural Municipality, respectively. Prem Krishna Shrestha of Pranish International Pvt Ltd and Shyam Bahadur Jargamgar of Koshi Nirman Sewa have been asked to clarify their positions within seven days.

Furthermore, Jagdish Chandra Agarwal and Dinesh Chandra R Agarwal of Infracon Pvt Ltd, as well as Dan Bahadur Karki of JV Shankarmali Nirman Sewa, have received notices from the PPMO based on recommendations from the Road Improvement and Development Project Directorate of the Department of Roads.

Rajkumar Rawat of Mama Bhanja Nirman Sewa, Dashrath Waiba of Satyashwori Construction Pvt Ltd, and Prem Prasad Adhikari of Panchkhal Construction Pvt are also required to provide clarifications within seven days.

Initially, the PPMO had set a 30-day deadline for explanations, but after the companies failed to respond, a final seven-day ultimatum was issued.
