The National Assembly’s Sustainable Development and Good Governance Committee has issued a set of directives to the government. They have called for the full utilization of state resources to ensure timely rescue operations, provide free treatment to the injured, and facilitate the rehabilitation of those affected by the 6.4 magnitude earthquake in Jajarkot district on Friday night.
Committee secretary Dr. Rojnath Pande emphasized the importance of implementing a streamlined response through a ‘one-door policy’ to effectively address the consequences of the earthquake.
Additionally, the committee has extended a plea to both domestic and foreign donor agencies, as well as state bodies, institutions, and citizens at large, to lend a helping hand to those in need during the aftermath of this disaster.
