CPN (Maoist Center) has called a meeting today to decide whom to support for the upcoming presidential election.

Although CPN-UML has been claiming the post of the President since the current ruling coalition formed the government, it is observed that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has held a discussion with Nepali Congress to incline towards electing the President from the Nepali Congress.

On Sunday evening, PM Dahal and Nepali Congress Chair Sher Bahadur Deuba, along with five top leaders, were seen together in a meeting where they discussed about CPN-MC possibly showing their support towards the presidential candidate of the Nepali Congress.

The meeting, to be held today at 4 pm on the premises of the CPN (MC) office, will make an official decision on who the Maoist Center will support in the presidential election to be held on March 9.

The registration program for the presidential election candidacy will begin on February 25.
