Maitidevi area of Kathmandu has been sealed after a man tested positive for COVID-19. The man, a permanent resident of Khadadevi 4, Ramechhap, had been living in Maitidevi in a rented room.
According to Police, the stretch from Maitidevi Temple to the nearby police beat has been sealed after the elder brother of twin brothers was confirmed with coronavirus infection. The younger brother is being kept under home-quarantine.
The brothers came to Kathmandu from Ramechhap on May 12 and a PCR test was done at the Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Diseases Center on May 15. The infected man is being kept in isolation at Teku Hospital.
Meanwhile several areas in Dhading District too have been sealed following a confirmation of COVID-19 yesterday. RDTs in both areas are being planned to ramped up.
