The District Administration Office (DAO), Kathmandu has issued a directive against people holding rallies, mass meetings and demonstrations.

In a press release, the DAO urged Kathmanduites to not create a crowd and or get involved in any kind of rallies which will contribute to the rise of coronavirus infection in the capital.

The press release issued by DAO has pointed at rallies being held recently in different areas demanding restoration of monarchy and Nepal’s Hindu nation status.

The administration office has also advised against all kinds of political and social campaigns that attract large mass gatherings, warning that DAO will take action according to the Local Administration Act 1971 and Infectious Diseases Act 2020 against those who fail to adhere to the latest directive.
