Upon returning from the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) in Kampala, Uganda, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal stated that he raised the concerns of developing nations at the summit.

During a press conference at Tribhuvan International Airport, PM Dahal added, “Achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) is unlikely. Nepal, despite its efforts to graduate from a Least Developed Country, has plunged into multidimensional challenges.”

In his address to the summit, he urged NAM members to “reaffirm their commitment to non-alignment principles, avoiding double standards and emphasizing cooperation for shared affluence.”

The NAM boasts the highest number of member states after the United Nations.
