The police have released three individuals who were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the Lalita Niwas land grab case.
Former Joint Secretary Kaladhar Deuja, former Under Secretary Hupendramani KC, and Surendra Kapali were released shortly after their arrest.
This decision was made in compliance with an interim order from the Supreme Court on July 19, which instructed the authorities to investigate the individuals without arresting them and keeping them out of custody.
The police released them after they provided the necessary documents, citing the Supreme Court’s order. The investigation will continue while the three individuals remain out of custody.
Out of the seven people arrested on Tuesday in relation to the Lalita Niwas land grab scam, Sudhir Kumar Shah, Bhatbhateni proprietor Min Bahadur Gurung, Dharma Prasad Gautam, and Gopal Karki are still in police custody.
