As the temperature is continuously soaring in Nepal, three local levels in Sunsari district have decided to close all public schools within the local levels.

Biratnagar Metropolitan City and Itahari Sub-metropolitan City have decided to close schools for two days due to the scorching heat.

Similarly, all public schools in Inaruwa Municipality will remain shut for a week from June 1 to 7. Likewise, Bhokraha Narsingh Rural Municipality has also directed community schools to shut for six days from June 1 to 6.

The local levels have informed the holiday is announced in view of the adverse impact on the health of students and teachers due to the soaring temperature. They informed that many students started falling sick due to excessive heat.

Everyday life in the Hilly and Terai regions of Nepal has been affected due to a sharp rise in temperature for the past few days.
