Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has initiated plans to install a chain-link fence in the Ring Road area and has invited tender bids.
The Public Construction Department of the KMC announced the call for tender bids on Monday, outlining the scope of the fencing initiative. The metropolis has estimated that it will cost Rs 18.94 million for the chain-link fencing.
The focus is on securing vacant spaces between the main road and track road from Bafal to Basundhara.
According to the Public Construction Department, Mayor Shah emphasized the necessity of such measures to ensure a cleaner and more organized environment for residents and commuters and this is expected to enhance traffic management and contribute to overall urban aesthetics.
