Seventy-eight people have lost their lives due to floods and landslides triggered by continuous rain in various parts of the country. According to the Police Headquarters, the disasters have resulted in physical losses exceeding Rs 100 million.

From June 10 to the present, 90 individuals have been injured and five remain missing. The deluge and landslides have also claimed the lives of 381 cattle heads, destroyed 98 cowsheds, and displaced 595 houses. A significant number of police personnel, totaling 5,041, have been mobilized for disaster management efforts during this period.

One school and two government office buildings have been damaged, while 41 bridges have been swept away. Additionally, 161 houses have been submerged, and 116 ropanis of land have been buried by debris.

In total, 1,028 disaster-related incidents have been reported due to the incessant rains, resulting in cumulative losses amounting to Rs 101,885,700.
