India has requested the District Administration Office, Darchula, to stop the ‘illegal’ entry of Nepalis in Kalapani, Limpiyadhura and other areas.

Stating that Gunji, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura are Indian lands, India wants to stop the illegal entry of Nepalis in those areas.

“Various Nepali factions want to illegally cross the border into the Indian territory of Gunji, Kalapani and Limpiyadhura to attract media attention and harass the administrations of both the countries,” the Dharchula administration of India said in a letter to the District Administration Office in Darchula.

“If you receive any such information, please do bother to provide the information immediately” the letter reads.

The government of Nepal has recently set up a security post of the Armed Police Force at Chhangru near Kalapani. The government is also working to open a possible nearby road track.
