Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko has arrived in Kathmandu for a one-day official visit to Nepal at the invitation of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha.

Kamikawa’s visit marks her first to Nepal, following her arrival from Colombo, Sri Lanka, at Tribhuvan International Airport around 12 noon on Sunday.

During her brief stay, Kamikawa is set to engage in diplomatic discussions, including a delegation-level meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Narayankaji Shrestha. The agenda encompasses a review of bilateral relations and discussions on forthcoming collaborations between the two nations.

Additionally, Kamikawa is set to hold courtesy meetings with President Ramchandra Paudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Following her engagements, Kamikawa is scheduled to depart from Kathmandu today itself.
